Super tasty dipped pretzels are a great snack that you can indulge in that won’t make you feel like you are limited in terms of calorie count or portion size while still eating your favorite tastes. Microwave a half a cup’s worth of semi sweet chocolate until it has reached the melting point. It takes about two minutes to melt the chocolate and make sure you stir it up really well before you use it. Dip low salt pretzels in the melted chocolate to coat them and then place them in one layer on parchment paper. Let them cool totally at room temperature or let them sit in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

Delicious Tortilla Chips are something that, believe it or not, you can put together on your own at home. All right, we have reviewed the first couple of points regarding healthy snack bars, of course you realize they play an important role. However is that all there is? Not by a long shot – you really can expand your knowledge greatly, and we will help you. We feel you will find them to be very helpful in a lot of ways. However, we always emphasize that anyone takes a closer look at the overall big picture as it relates to this subject. So we will give you a few more important ideas to think about. Tortilla chips, when bought at the store, are commonly loaded and coated in salt and other bad ingredients and are not at all nourishing. For this delicious snack, you can whip the chips yourself with corn tortillas. Gather a minimum of ten corn tortillas and cut them in six parts. Place the corn tortilla pieces onto a baking sheet and then spritz it with a mixture of canola oil, a quarter teaspoon of chili powder, a half a teaspoon of cumin, and a quarter teaspoon of salt. Be sure every piece gets coated with the mixture and then bake the chips at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Allow the chips to cool before eating them.

Make your very own caramel corn! You are probably thinking that caramel corn is an indulgence that you cant afford due to the very high sugar and calorie count. See if you can make this (much better) recipe instead. In a big pot, you should melt two tablespoons of butter and then mix in a couple of tablespoonfuls of brown sugar, one tablespoon of water and 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt. Use your whisk to blend it all together and then add approximately seven cups of air popped popcorn. If you prefer, you can even stir in some lightly salted peanuts if that’s your thing. Mix it all together until the popcorn (and nuts if you added them) are well coated and then let the whole lot cool before you consume it.

If you are fine doing a little research, you can find a number of snack recipes that are low on bad ingredients, have fewer calories but that still taste really really good. There are all varieties of alternatives for super nutritious and tasty snacks out there. You’ll have to be patient so that you can find those healthy and yummy recipes and then prepare them yourself. It shouldn’t be difficult to work on being healthy. You can do it!
